FAQ's

Got Art? We’ve Got You Covered!

Not sure where to start? No problem—we can design your logo for you! Just shoot us an email with your ideas, key features, and any inspiration you have in mind. We’ll take it from there. Here are a few things to keep in mind for smooth printing:

Vector Artwork is Preferred.

Non-vector files may require an art fee. We’ll check all vector files to make sure they’re print-ready. (Not sure what vector artwork is? We’ve got you—just ask!)

Size Matters!

Send your artwork at the exact size you want it printed. If adjustments are needed, let us know the exact dimensions.

Use Spot colors

White should only be included if it represents white ink on a colored background.

Convert Fonts to Outlines or Curves

This ensures no unexpected changes—once text is converted, it can’t be edited.

Line Weight Matters.

Keep all lines at a minimum of 1 pt and negative spaces at 2 pts for clean, crisp printing.

The better the file, the better the print! Got questions? We’re happy to help.

Screen Printing vs DTF
What's Best for your Custom Apparel?

At DesignWear, we offer two main printing methods: Screen Printing and Direct to Film (DTF). Both get your design on a shirt, but each has its own strengths. Here’s a quick breakdown:

The Process

Screen printing is the classic method—each color gets its own screen, and ink is pressed directly onto the fabric. It takes more setup but delivers top-tier quality, especially for large orders.

DTF is a newer process where designs are printed on film and heat-pressed onto the garment. It’s fast, great for detailed multi-color designs, and ideal for smaller runs.

The Quality

Screen printing gives a soft, durable finish with vibrant colors that last—perfect for bold designs and dark fabrics.

DTF produces sharp, detailed prints, great for lighter fabrics and intricate designs, though quality varies with materials.

The Cost

For large orders, screen printing is more cost-effective since setup is spread across multiple pieces.

For small runs, DTF is the better choice—no screen setup means lower upfront costs.

Here's Our Opinion

We love screen printing for its durability and classic look, but DTF has its place for small, colorful, or detailed designs. Not sure which to choose? We’ve got you covered!
